06 | OF ZION, IN BABYLON: Critical Situation and GOD’s Revelation

Daniel 2: 10-23.

In critical times, man’s inspiration fails and only the revelation of GOD is able to keep us safe and true. It is in these critical times that we would know those who spend time with the king in Babylon or the KING who presides over Zion.

During critical times of life, men of earthly inspiration quickly give up because they cannot go beyond the realm of men and men of GOD get solutions because they are always tuned to GOD’s heart. People always wonder why principals in Babylon always resort to suicide. It is because whatever is beyond their level of inspiration can only be solved by death i.e. keeping them from humiliation. It is not strange that death is what they always think of because as strange as it sounds; death is the only choice that comes to their mind – Pride of life!

Daniel’s song of gratitude reveals that without the revelation of GOD through CHRIST, that brings wisdom and power, man has no answer to the world’s question other than death. GOD’s answer to the questions of this world is that HIS Life would destroy everything that the dead world represents and HIS Peace would be ultimately established on earth as it is in Heaven.

All these experiences in Babylon is for the purpose of establishing the truth and power of GOD. Just like the magicians in Egypt, it must be proved by GOD’s orchestration that the revelation of CHRIST through the HOLY SPIRIT is the only way to navigate life till we finally attain the Life HE purposed for us. Some critical situations are for the purpose of establishing in the hearts of people that there is a GOD that makes mystery seems normal and that it was this life of mystery that man was living before his fall.

The aim of every critical situation is the revelation of GOD. It is really orchestration for the revelation of GOD if we are not the one orchestrating these scenarios. When something like this wants to happen, GOD always keeps us in the dark and bring us to the light of things when all inspirational options have be expended and exhausted . . .

05 | OF ZION, IN BABYLON: The Impossible Request

Daniel 2: 1 – 9

Babylon is an unfair system! It gives from the realm of possibility but expects impossibilities in return. Babylon nurtures so that he could kill and siphon every virtue out of his subjects. This is the exact opposite of what GOD desires for His people.

The world is an entitled system as it lures people in so as to get from them what they cannot offer even after all the ‘investments’ it must have made on them. It is not doing this because they can but because he wants to justify their destruction by his hands. And rightfully, he would be justified unless GOD’s mercy through the death of CHRIST prevailed.

The reason behind the devil’s nurturing is for the purpose of serving him but the ultimate reason is so that he could be justified in their destruction so he dulled their senses and fill them with all shades of lies till they could not longer be able to believe in the salvation through the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Every magician, wise men and soothsayers could not solve the problem that the king of Egypt put before them because the same king has dulled their senses to connect with the realm of GOD where answers are in abundance. The irony behind all these is that GOD used this impossible scenario to establish his own people because he rules in the affairs of all men. So no matter what the devil does through men, GOD is not bothered because it would further intensify His Glory and the devil never stops . . .

02 | OF ZION, IN BABYLON: Food and Language

Daniel 1: 3 – 8

Just like JESUS, Daniel would not let the hunger for food and exotics take him away from GOD. Daniel was captured from Jerusalem and taken to Babylon just as we are born into this world but GOD desires that we triumph over this world of sin by righteousness. And this was what Daniel kept in his heart from his time in Babylon till his dying days.

Babylon is not without its wisdom and cleverness but the Spirit of GOD in us is the embodiment of GOD’s Wisdom that is True and Pure. Babylonian system knew of a fact that what changes a man quickly is food and language. Food, being what opens him up to accept what the food bringer is about to offer next; and the language and literature tends to change the person beyond educating the mind only. It goes beyond curing ignorance to changing the behaviour and way of life of the person.

The most effective of attacks or assaults are the ones the victims accept or succumb to willingly. Just like CHRIST, Daniel’s delight was not in the choice and exotic food and wine of Babylon but in the Word of GOD. Even though he missed the noble and royal food of Judah/Jerusalem, the Word of GOD was his most cherished delicacy and means of communicating to/with the world.

So his decision was to avoid cultural change and stick with the Kingdom culture by making The KING’s Law is delight after all, he was a custodian of the same Law just as we all are as believers in this end time.

The True Pentecost

Acts 2:1-13

There is a movement that is not based on mind sentiments but on the true heartset of the HOLY SPIRIT . . . A movement that is not acknowledging a particular issue in our walks with GOD over other issues that are as important. A movement based on the wholesomeness GOD is offering to HIS people as a means of salvation from the old ways.

Many Christians have gone out of the wholesomeness of the Way of Life and only take some paths that seem convenient. So there are many languages spoken in the Church today based on what each faction desires to dwell on when GOD is ready to open us to something better and more rewarding in HIM and also open Himself to us in the same process. Although they are devout people who are holding on what they have been taught faithfully, GOD is saying “there is more to ME only if you can all come together as ONE and take part part in a wholesome relationship with ME.”

This movement is meant to show that these languages (issues/elements) are from the same Spirit of GOD and dwelling on one in particular is like shortchanging our lives. The people GOD is using for this movement are also from diverse mono-language backgrounds but they have seen the light and even in neutrality, they operate in all because they have subscribed to the fullness and oneness the Spirit of GOD offers. They wrought the wonderful works of GOD in any language as the Spirit leads . . . and this is because to HIM, there is only one pure language and HE is the author.

These sets of people are first the miracle . . . and miracle is not what they do but what happens in and through them. Miracle is how much of GOD has replaced the world in us since HE had bought us back with His Blood.  But this will not have happen to them if they are not in ORDER. If POWER and the Spirit of the LORD must reside immensely in us, order on how things should be must be duly adhered to . . . people and things must be in order for the Spirit of GOD to flow without blockage or hindrance. These are the characteristics of these sets of people to whom GOD would put the responsibility of teaching and shepherding His people:

  • They are of one state of mind as related to GOD’s Kingdom and their position in CHRIST.
  • GOD is portrayed through them in a dynamic manner that is not bereft of accuracy and reliability.
  • They will first attract sets of people that are associated with GOD, diligent in their duty from different walks of life because of their versatility both in the Kingdom of GOD and of men.
  • They will shatter stereotypes and shook the very foundation of belief for the purpose of establishing the True belief of the person of CHRIST.
  • They will debunk every notion of exclusivity that makes people believe some people are chosen to be chosen above all others.
  • They will be gathered together from nations, tribes and tongues because their physical location or position or the language they speak would not matter.
  • They will be rounded in utterance . . . they will enjoy liberties of GOD because they operate under a divine identity and culture.
  • Their focus and agenda is GOD’s . . . all their dynamism, efficiency and dexterity point to the greatness and wonders of GOD.
  • Their lives will make people hungry for the knowledge of GOD and these are the people that GOD would have touched their hearts to want to know HIM and understand His ways.
  • In all, they must be prepared because there are some that are already profiting from the old wine and they will do everything in their power to sabotage the goodness resident in the new wine.

DAVIDIC LEADERSHIP: Leadership

2Samuel 7: 1-7

A LEADER’s destination is to a place where he would eventually becomes a RULER of those he leads and those he does not lead. At this point he would begin to reign in the affairs of men based on his decisions and the counsel of those he leads . . .

When the time to rule comes, those he has been leading would become governors, captains of fifties and thousands and caretakers of territories he rules. Leading is a prerequisite to rulership that also helps in grooming people that would lead groups of people in time of the ruler’s reign.

A ruler is one who has leaders capable of executing his commands on his behalf . . . But David’s rulership took an unusual path inclined towards the LORD after he had settled on the throne in Israel. He thought in his heart that The LORD should be honoured with a House that ‘befits’ HIM.

The Davidic Leadeship is that leadership that settles into the sovereign rulership of GOD who rules in the affairs of men. It was this understanding that made David’s leadership and rulership the best ever recorded before CHRIST came and showed us the perfected version.

And according to JESUS’ perfection of Davidic Leadership, the leader becomes empty of himself the moment he becomes a ruler and becomes filled with GOD and GOD alone. The path of Leadership according to GOD’s design is to make leaders (men) understand that leadership is man’s responsibility but rulership is the sovereign responsibility of GOD and function accordingly.

Indeed, the journey of Leadership is the journey that starts from being nothing to GOD to being NOTHING to the world! Leadership is a journey to DEATH (to self) and LIFE (in GOD).

Lead a Life through the path HE has set for you; let HIM rule your heart so that your end can be what HE had purposed for you before the beginning . . .

HE IS STILL THE WAY, TRUTH AND THE LIFE!

HE HAS NOT CHANGED AND HE WILL NEVER CHANGE!

FOLLOW HIM TODAY; LET HIS SPIRIT IN YOU GUIDE YOU TO HIS ETERNITY!

DAVIDIC LEADERSHIP: Introduction

God called David a man after His own heart not only because he seemed to praise HIM more than any man but because according to the records of Kings, he subscribed to the leading of the LORD while he was learning what God has for him and to His rulership when he eventually became the ruler of Israel.

David’s leadership quality did not start when he was king or when he had followers. It had begun when he was nobody. But wherever he found himself and whatever he found himself doing, he could see himself manifesting the characteristics of CHRIST. It was his genuine leadership quality (the way he led his life) that gave him the inspiration for the song he composed (Psalm 23).

He could see himself as one of the sheep he was rearing and also see himself representing God before his father’s sheep. These views and observations are enough to make David a case study of the subject of leadership and rulership even in these contemporary times. Even God made him the standard for other kings after him until JESUS came to institute perfection.

Is the journey of leadership a journey from nothing to something?? Let us find out together . . .

Comfort and Suffering

comfort

2Corinthians 1: 3-7

Many have mastered that art of reaping and sowing . . . “If you do this, you will get that . . .” And due to this, they would not do anything without a motive attached to it or a promise of what needs to be gotten because something has been done. The motive being the hope of getting things that exchange the feeling of what is lost with the feeling of abundance of what is lost. This mentality has found its way into the core of the Church.

We see comfort as a means of GOD consoling us for the suffering we have passed through for the sake of the Gospel. We see consolation as GOD telling us to relax and enjoy the fruit of our labour and because of this, we have turned the work of GOD to the equivalent of the world’s kind of sacrifice before getting what is hoped for.

The world sees endurance as a means of waiting till you lay your hands on what is here on earth but GOD wants us to endure so that in this present time and at the earth’s very end, HE would reward us with HIMSELF. HE said we are not of this world even though we are in the very middle of it . . . This means that whatever we do here on earth is for the purpose of standing strong before HIM. So to a man given to GOD and HIS SON, both comfort and suffering are tools for advancing GOD’s Kingdom and spreading the Gospel of CHRIST.

The purpose of enduring hardship is for the sake of letting the Gospel touch the hearts of men . . . if the only way to reach their hearts is to humble ourselves to the basest, then that is what needs to be done. And if by means of this GOD rewards our toils by providing what we lack in the times of suffering, it is so that we can use this reward to reach out more to men or to those who can be reached by utilizing these rewards/consolation.

In the bid to reach out to hearts with the rewards we received from HIM, it is possible we go back to where we were before – ‘in the suffering state’. This simply means that our comfort and suffering are both channeled into the furthering of GOD’s Kingdom and JESUS’ Gospel. No matter the situation we find ourselves, GOD and HIS Kingdom; JESUS and HIS Gospel should be our priority in any condition. Our suffering must not hinder our services to the Kingdom and being in the state of comfort must not make us relent in sharing the Gospel of CHRIST in Truth. It is the faithful services we offer to HIM regardless of our situation that informs HIM of the quality of our devotion.

The ultimate comfort or consolation is in the knowledge and the realization that we will be with HIM and also be like HIM in the end. The consolation of this world could make one very entitled and loose focus on the ultimate and eternal consolation – HIMSELF! We must know that both comfort and suffering are tools and means to an end that GOD has at heart for all that would make HIM their LORD and KING!
